Shiney

  • Shiney is a dancer and instructor whose journey began with C-Walk and
    led him to Popping and Locking, which became the core of his artistic
    practice. In 2011, he returned to his country of origin to study Popping
    with Vietnamese dancers, deepening his technical skills and cultural
    understanding of the style.

    With years of experience in teaching and performing, Shiney is known for
    a thoughtful and educational approach to dance. He continues to develop
    as both a teacher and a student. Since 2017, he has been studying
    Jazz(aka Authentic, Vernacular, Original, Jazz Roots), expanding his
    perspective on movement and strengthening his understanding of the roots
    of Popping and Locking.

    Since 2025, Shiney has also been practicing Capoeira, studying both
    Regional and Angola, further enriching his movement vocabulary and
    cultural awareness. Through his work, he actively shares knowledge,
    connects dance traditions, and represents dance culture with respect and
    authenticity.
