(Tanya Kolyada) Ukrainian swing dance artist mostly passionate about exploring Authentic Jazz. It happened to me that I started with lindy hop the way letter then with solo jazz.
One of my main point of interest is searching for the way of dancing jazz, inspired by other styles like Tap Dance, Body Percussion, Afro Cuban. I can see how much these styles are connecting in historical, rhythmical and technical way. And it gives me never ending inspiration for discovering my body possibilities and the ways jazz could be as a dance, as music, as a performative art. The desire to explore things deeper was one of the reason I came to Barcelona 2 years ago to dedicate 1 year of my life doing professional tap dance program in Luthier. And here still I’m, sharing, collaborating, performing and learning (that’s always).
In dance I appreciate personal authenticity so as a teacher I’m trying to give students the ideas and tools to explore deeper their own possibility (style).
