Marion & Sylvain share a vibrant partnership shaped by a deep love for Lindy Hop in all its forms. Equally devoted to both social and performance aspects of the dance, they are driven by a curiosity for the many ways it allows for individual and shared expression. In social dancing, they focus on creating an inclusive space where both partners contribute actively, independently of their ‘dance role’. In a performance context, they enjoy crafting original choreographies that reflect their personal voices and artistic vision. They also recognise that Lindy Hop and the dances they practice originate from Black American culture. They are committed to honouring this legacy and and they expect you, organizer(s) of a Black American dance form workshop or festival, to do the same. This means :
- Hiring Black artists to your event, donate to Black Lindy Hoppers Fund and CVFC.
- Organising historical & cultural talks.
- Ensuring that your spaces are welcoming, respectful, and safe for Black dancers.
